Firefox has “themes” too…
by Sean Carter on Sep.01, 2010, under Themes
So, it has come to my attention that Firefox has started having “themes” to add to your browser. They call them Personas. So, this reminds me of the fun I had making iGoogle themes, whereas I have just noticed that one of my themes is the 87th most used theme, as seen here.
I have submitted my first firefox theme, and will work on more very shortly. It’s a quick and simple way to distract me for a few moments as I work on my new website redesign.
I will post a link to the firefox persona, as soon as they are accepted and if you haven’t checked out my iGoogle themes, you need to ask yourself “why not?” Here, I’ll make it easy on ya, here’s Sean Carter’s iGoogle themes.
New Look, COMING SOON
by Sean Carter on Sep.01, 2010, under Uncategorized
So, here I am again. I hope you haven’t forgotten about me. I’ve still not found a full time design or creative position anywhere, but I am really hoping something happens soon. I’ve been waiting tables for over a year now and I haven’t had a freelance project in a few months. So, it’s time for a new look. I’ve done some tweaks to my resume, and plan a few more tweaks. I am also redesigning the website, and hopefully the blog.
Oh, the blog. I really need to work on here. At least one post a month, if not a week is my GOAL. Let’s see how close I get to that.
Updates
by Sean Carter on May.02, 2010, under Uncategorized
check out freelancingdesigner.com for a new post. I’ve spent the past year and a half or so, looking for a new design job. I hit the job trail real hard at first, but as I felt that i hit up all the companies I would like to work for, i began to get a bit down about my search. I then hibernated a bit, planning a wedding kind of contributed to that. After that I was given a chance to go back to waiting tables. This has helped me keep up on the bills, but makes me miss advertising.
I feel ready to hit that trail again. I am actively seeking a way back into the great world of advertising.
Besides all that, my one year anniversary has come and just left. It’s been a great year and I look forward to every passing year I get to spend with my beautiful wife.
New portfolio posts
by Sean Carter on Jul.14, 2009, under Uncategorized
I’ve been using freelancingdesigner.com as my portfolio blog for a while, but haven’t updated it. Sometimes it’s too much to open up the html on id8tion to keep it updated, so I set up the freelancing designer portfolio blog. I’ve contributed to it, so check it out: http://freelancingdesigner.com/blog/

The iPhone Game I never made
by Sean Carter on Jun.16, 2009, under Uncategorized
Well, I brought up talk before of how I wanted to make an iPhone game. I tried to find programmers, then I bought some books to try and teach myself programming, but now that I’m doing freelance and waiting tables (until recession is over), I don’t have time for it. I also saw that other similar games have been put up. I thought I’d at least show off the roughs I had put together.
I Won Awards
by Sean Carter on Mar.27, 2009, under Uncategorized
In the advertising world, there are awards. One of the awards in Orange County is the formally called OC AD Club Awards, now the OC Advertising Federation Addy Awards.
Even though, I haven’t worked at DGWB since October, almost every piece submitted and awarded prizes was something I had a hand in. From artistic input and layouts to doing the production work on these. DGWB earned 25 awards including Best of Show.
I couldn’t be more proud of the work I did there, or of those I worked with. It’s kind of odd that I really can’t be there when they celebrate, but that’s how life is.
So, if you are hiring, remember I help earn awards.
Still seeking an iPhone Developer
by Sean Carter on Feb.22, 2009, under Uncategorized
Gonna make this quick, but I have a few game ideas. I’ve been trying to figure out how to do the coding, but seriously it would be a lot easier to find someone who can code for iPhone. I can do the art, and images. There will be some animations needed. (also dice…)
If this is you, let me know. We can partner up and split the rewards.
