New portfolio posts
by Sean Carter on Jul.14, 2009, under Uncategorized
I’ve been using freelancingdesigner.com as my portfolio blog for a while, but haven’t updated it. Sometimes it’s too much to open up the html on id8tion to keep it updated, so I set up the freelancing designer portfolio blog. I’ve contributed to it, so check it out: http://freelancingdesigner.com/blog/

So, my beautiful wife loves Ancient Egypt. So, I created a quick wallpaper for her iPhone. Then I decided to release it to the public. I’m not gonna put it on my download page right now, so feel free to take it from here:

The iPhone Game I never made
by Sean Carter on Jun.16, 2009, under Uncategorized
Well, I brought up talk before of how I wanted to make an iPhone game. I tried to find programmers, then I bought some books to try and teach myself programming, but now that I’m doing freelance and waiting tables (until recession is over), I don’t have time for it. I also saw that other similar games have been put up. I thought I’d at least show off the roughs I had put together.
I Won Awards
by Sean Carter on Mar.27, 2009, under Uncategorized
In the advertising world, there are awards. One of the awards in Orange County is the formally called OC AD Club Awards, now the OC Advertising Federation Addy Awards.
Even though, I haven’t worked at DGWB since October, almost every piece submitted and awarded prizes was something I had a hand in. From artistic input and layouts to doing the production work on these. DGWB earned 25 awards including Best of Show.
I couldn’t be more proud of the work I did there, or of those I worked with. It’s kind of odd that I really can’t be there when they celebrate, but that’s how life is.
So, if you are hiring, remember I help earn awards.
Still seeking an iPhone Developer
by Sean Carter on Feb.22, 2009, under Uncategorized
Gonna make this quick, but I have a few game ideas. I’ve been trying to figure out how to do the coding, but seriously it would be a lot easier to find someone who can code for iPhone. I can do the art, and images. There will be some animations needed. (also dice…)
If this is you, let me know. We can partner up and split the rewards.
Absinthe

Okay, here’s my take Absente (absinthe refined) is really good! Lucid is pretty good, and Vinet Ege sucks.

I’ve added Google’s new Friend Connect, and I’m debating on hooking up Facebook’s features too. But check it out. On the right.
You can sign in and then even rate my articles and such. I’ll be adding more features later.
Also, I’ve set up my old site into a portfolio blog, it’s located at freelancingdesigner.com. I’m gonna be putting all types of things on their, some good, some bad and some totally great.
well enjoy, I’m gonna rest up before working on Freelance over the weekend.
A Sad Week
by Sean Carter on Oct.18, 2008, under Uncategorized
With the current economical climate, many advertisers are making cuts that they don’t want to make. The wonderful company of DGWB has found no way to keep me on staff in the current economical situation. So I found myself laid off on Wednesday, and with a wedding I have to somehow pay for next year I cannot be lagging in my job hunt.
My downloadable resume is here, and my downloadable portfolio is here. The portfolio shows stuff I have not put onto my portfolio pages, as this site is slowly being updated.
Any art director, or even studio artists positions in Orange County, maybe Los Angeles would be greatly appreciated.
